Bottega Veneta: Luxury, but laid-back

What Men Wear in Winter 2015

Don’t think fashion is for pragmatists? Tomas Maier might convince you otherwise. His autumn collection for Bottega Veneta is aimed at men who say, “It’s cold, I’ll wear a cardigan.” If Maier has his way, men will combine materials this autumn according to what feels comfortable. Washed corduroy trousers with a cashmere jumper, woollen joggers with a tweed blazer. Tomas Maier now lets men take to the streets in velvet trousers with an elastic waistband in purple and russet colour combinations that would once have had your mum throwing her hands up in despair. Nowadays that’s known as laid-back luxury.
