Pomellato’s Rare Gemstones

11.07.2018

Intense colours and gorgeous stones. That’s what Milan-based jewellery maker Pomellato – and especially its Nudo collection, which has been adding sparkle to our lives since 2001 – is famous for. With Nudo Color Storm, Pomellato is now going one better. The jeweller is using rare and exclusive gemstones for this new line.

Every Nudo Color Storm ring is made of white or rose gold and adorned with numerous pavé diamonds. The new collection celebrates the gemstones aquamarine, morganite, peridot, rhodolite and iolite. The line is limited and can only be bought in 2018.

Significant stones

The gemstones aren’t just beautiful to look at. Each of them symbolizes something different. With its red colour, morganite stands for love. The stone was discovered in Madagascar in 1911. Aquamarine symbolizes calm – incidentally, this light blue stone was already selected for the first Nudo collection back in 2001.

Peridot can be found in lava and even in meteorites and symbolizes light. Rhodolite was discovered in North Carolina in 1882 and is part of the garnet family. It is associated with passion. And last but not least, the dark blue iolite stands for surprise.
