Looking in the crystal ball: for the upcoming trends, we look to the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris. Where the fashion is being showcased that will be hitting the stores in spring and summer 2020.
Shades of summer
Showing your true colours is the name of the game for men next year. Soft pastel shades in violet, blue and yellow wind their way through Virgil Abloh’s menswear collection for Louis Vuitton. It makes you hungry for a sorbet in the sunshine.
Similarly summery colours can be found at Emporio Armani. Shimmering green and blue are reminiscent of flowing water. Delicate satin and jeans make for exciting textile combinations.
Bestially beautiful
At Etro things are taking a more animal turn. Leopard print continues to be en vogue next year, as are cowboy shirts, hats and boots.
Bottega Veneta has opted for subtlety and single shades. The only motif in sight is a monkey with a pineapple. As ever, leather remains a clear favourite at the Italian label.
