Little fashion hits it big. It’s long been impossible to separate kids’ fashion from adults’ trends. Mini-me fashion in all shapes and sizes is once again on-trend this summer, meaning that children too are wearing boho, camouflage and neon – because that’s what’s en vogue in the grown-ups’ collections. Meaning that entire families can look stylish – there’s no age limit to being cool. An overview of children’s fashion in summer 2019.
Summer styles: from casual to romantic
Taking a quick look at the catwalks of the children’s fashion fair Pitti Bimbo, one thing is clear: this summer will be exciting – in fashion and beyond. While boys have fun combining camouflage prints and neon colours, girls’ styles are dominated by flowing cuts, romantic boho styles and that all-time classic: stripes.
Kids: classic and elegant
Fendi has struck a decidedly elegant note with light suits in pale blue and navy, as well as lace dresses in soft peach. Meanwhile Dolce & Gabbana has opted for floral patterns and styles to match mum’s wardrobe. The dresses by Baby Dior are genuine little artworks: embroidered crabs, fish and shells adorn white tulle dresses. A summer dreams are made of!
