Children’s Trends: Thinking big

30.01.2018

Roberto Cavalli JR / Proj3ct Studio

Adventurers, princesses, knights, robbers’ daughters. Every child is unique, which is why individuality counts in children’s fashion, too. As the international fashion houses prove, there is something for everyone in their kiddie collections.

Like the grown-ups: mini-me fashion is still a big hit with kids. At Roberto Cavalli JR that means mature maritime coral patterns in red and blue. At Dolce & Gabbana girls can don the same handbags as their mums. And even Gucci has produced a small-scale version of their adult styles.

Another classic that can’t be avoided: flowers, in every shade and colour, are in vogue once again this spring and summer. Whether as a puffy dress – seen at Pitti Bimbo in Florence by the label She.Ver – or as a trouser suit by I Pinco Pallino.

Kids can never have too many fun and playful outfits: superhero swimwear is always a hit with girls and boys alike.
