Fashion has always been about joint experiences and emotions, VOGUE’s Editor-in-Chief Christiane Arp is convinced of that. Which is why the prestigious and long-standing magazine extended an invitation to a reception in the largest suite in Austria – in the Park Hyatt Vienna – for the capital’s first VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out. Shortly afterwards, the shopping night with fashion shows by 54 local designers officially kicked off in the Tuchlaubenhof and in the shops of the Goldenes Quartier.
It is very important to Christoph Stadlhuber, Chairman of Signa and person responsible for the Goldenes Quartier, to network with local, Viennese designers as well as with the international brands located there. Both groups share a demand for high quality. Which is precisely what the whole Goldenes Quartier stands for, too. “Being deep-rooted in the city is very important to us,” he says. The new series of events under the name EN SUITE will involve quarterly meetings and events in the Goldenes Quartier – and has just been launched with VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out, which revolved around the Goldenes Quartier. “I’m very impressed by the enthusiastic way the Viennese population celebrated our shopping event,” says Arp.
The guests included: model Mari Malek, flown in especially from New York, who laid down beats for the catwalk as DJ Stiletto; Marina Hoermanseder, currently one of the most successful domestic fashion designers; designer Lena Hoschek; Editors of Look magazine Uschi Fellner and Christian Pöttler; Doris Rose from the Austrian fashion label Jones; and radio host Claudia Stöckl.
