Endless summer: Etro has perfectly captured our yearning for the summer in its spring/summer collection. Designer Veronica Etro was inspired by the surfer and skater community in California and the associated sense of freedom, among other things. “Pacific Zen” is the name of the collection, which also incorporates Hawaiian and Japanese styles.
Pro surfers among the models
The choice of models was very fitting: two professional surfers, Victoria Vergara and Maribel Koucke, walked down the catwalk with their hair in loose waves, natural make-up and a surfboard under their arm – and of course in the label’s signature paisley pattern.
Light-footed pattern combos
But paisley wasn’t the only pattern in the spotlight: there were also wild combinations of other motifs and prints. After all, that too is one of the brand’s specialities. Untethered silhouettes with flowing dresses, kimonos, kaftans and pyjamas were centre stage, with outsize hats the dominant accessory.
