8 a.m.: Wake up with a view
We don’t wake up like this every day. In the Park Suite at the Park Hyatt Vienna, the first thing we see when we open our eyes is Vienna’s old town. What a way to start the day!
8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
Start the day off right with a fresh bowl of muesli. Want to combine it with a typically Viennese coffee house experience? Not a problem: at the Park Hyatt Vienna’s Café Am Hof you can order a traditional Melange or one of the latest coffee trends: drip coffee (filter coffee) using the Chemex method, French press or Mocca.
10 a.m.: Arany Spa
Once used to store cash and gold, this space is all about wellness and relaxation: the bank’s former vault is now home to a 15-metre-long pool. Great after the sauna, Sanarium, aroma steam bath and vitality showers. Our treatment tip: the 90-minute Serenity Aromatherapy Massage or a 60-minute Tiger Hot Stone Massage.
12:30 p.m.: Lunch
Inside or outside? The Am Hof Kerbside Café with Moët & Chandon offers fizz in every variation under the sun. Plus delicious lunchtime cuisine. We’re going for the stuffed avocados and the Am Hof burger.
2 p.m.: Shopping in the Goldenes Quartier
Now it’s time to shop! Where else but in the heart of Vienna, the Goldenes Quartier. Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Prada and many more top international labels await on the hotel’s doorstep.
4 p.m.: Cake in the lounge
We’ll treat ourselves to a sweet break in the lounge. Here we can taste our way through the cakes and homemade pastries to our hearts’ content.
4:30 p.m.: Sightseeing in Vienna’s old town
St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, Vienna State Opera? After just a few minutes’ walk, we have arrived at the most beautiful landmarks in Vienna’s city centre.
7:30 p.m.: Drinks at The Bank Bar
Cocktail o’clock! We’ll try the new signature drinks at The Bank Bar. With fruit tea, buttermilk and spinach, the ingredients are very creative. As are their names: The Royal Bank of St. Andrews or The Central Bank of Neglinnaya, for example.
9 p.m.: Dinner in the Bank Brasserie & Bar
A watermelon salad followed by Chateaubriand from the lava stone grill. We’ll let the head chef István Törzsök treat us at the chef’s table in the middle of the restaurant’s show kitchen.
10 p.m.: Whiskey tasting
The only way to round off a delightful day: taste three different spirits in the living room. And if you feel like it, you can end the evening with a premium cigar …
