Dress Code for the Festival Season
Open-air music, balmy summer nights and a sense of freedom. The festival season has begun! And not just in California’s celeb-strewn Coachella Valley. Here in Austria we’re also turning up the volume. The Donauinselfest starts on 22nd June, while other musts for festival-goers are Nova Rock in Burgenland (from 14th June), Clam Rock at Burg Clam castle (29th June), the Poolbar Festival in Vorarlberg (from 6th July) and the FM4 Frequency Festival in St. Pölten (from 16th August).
But what should you wear? The casual boho look is perfect. With their flowing dresses, you’re guaranteed to find just the thing at Etro. While 7 for All Mankind has every variety of jeans imaginable, including colourful trouser leg bottoms, and at Bottega Veneta you’ll find a touch of safari to add to your outfit.
Sunglasses are of course indispensable – the round model by Louis Vuitton matches the boho look perfectly. And flat shoes – after all, you’ll be spending the whole day and night on your feet. Leather sandals by Emporio Armani or espadrilles by Saint Laurent are the right choice here.
Time to dance
A cross-body bag is essential to keep your hands are free for dancing. The colourful Valentino bag goes perfectly with every beat. You should always have some change close at hand in case hunger or thirst strikes – so why not go for the etui by Alexander McQueen?
Earrings bearing the sun and moon by Etro will round off your festival style. After all, sunshine and a starry sky are essential for any festival.
