13th Window: Presents from Brunello Cucinelli
The Goldenes Quartier’s advent calendar, curated by the Viennese fashion bloggers Desiree and Jennifer, is overflowing with festive inspiration. Gift ideas from the stores in the Goldenes Quartier.
A native of Umbria, Brunello Cucinelli is considered the philosopher and humanist among fashion entrepreneurs. With his foundation, he is involved in maintaining and saving Italian cultural assets: he had the castle and picturesque village of Solomeo renovated and then promptly moved his company headquarters there. In 2012 he donated €1.3 million to preserve the famous Etruscan Arch in Perugia.
Tie, scarf, shoehorn – Des & Jen about their wish list:
“Brunello Cuccinelli reminds us of Christmastime at our grandparents’ house in Croatia: they always set great store by quality and tradition. We have opted for the tie and scarf because they are both classic male accessories, and even today they make regular appearances under our family Christmas tree. Did you know that it was thanks to the Croatians that ties became popular and widespread during the Thirty Years’ War?”
Desirée and Jennifer are twins, Viennese with Croatian roots, and they are passionate about fashion and all things beautiful. In 2013 they launched their successful blog Des & Jen, where they regularly report on fashion, music and lifestyle from all corners of the globe. Also on Instagram they are already followed by 95000 fashionistas.
