The interior design of the new restaurant Aï at Seitzergasse 6 was inspired by Asian cuisine. Simplicity was especially important for the Gatserelia team of architects. As was attention to detail – a trademark of Lebanon, the home country of the Kamp Catering Gruppe who are breathing life into this new eatery. Like the lift, a glass sculpture connects the two floors, symbolizing the fusion of these two cultures.
Marble, leather, wood, copper and glass were used extensively in the interior. The different materials make it possible to optically distinguish between the various areas – robata grill, sushi and cocktail bar – while nevertheless realizing that they are all part of a greater whole. One of the best highlights is the floating dining room on the bridge in the Tuchlaubenhof. This unique location in Vienna can also be rented for private functions.
