Yves Saint Laurent

This summer’s make-up trends

Red, pink, orange

Under the motto “The City and I”, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty presents the entire colour spectrum of the urban world. Black, white, pavement grey, the pink and orange of graffiti, which have risen to style-defining status in the world’s metropolises. The shades range from coral to fuchsia, from pale to neon pink, from cherry red to plum. They can be magicked onto your face as a mere hint of colour or applied to your lips as a bold style statement. The confidently stylish will wear one shade on their top lip and another on their lower lip.

Next up: YSL’s summer beauty line, Solar Pop. Flooded with light and adventurous, its palette includes jungle green and purple.

The glorious colour combo pink and red was also spotted on the catwalk. In fact, it dominates Valentino’s spring/summer collection. What was once considered uncombinable is now guaranteed to make a fantastic impression.

Strong face

Ideal for sun-kissed skin. Armani Beauty has brought together earthy, warm and natural-looking nuances under the motto “Life is a cruise”. They range from pearly pink and coppery brown to sea green and gold. This year sees the eyeshadows in the Sunset Palette worn under Eye Tint – with colour names like Navy Lights, Italian Riviera and Armani Cruise. Women can share their lip salve with their nearest and dearest this summer: the Him & Her Lip Care is unisex and kiss-proof.

Nude looks were also everywhere on the catwalk. Naturally at Emporio Armani. But also at Alexander McQueen.
