Fake fur, fringes and oodles of orange. You don’t have to be an oracle to predict the upcoming trends – after all, this autumn’s fashion was presented back in the spring on the catwalks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. And they will soon be arriving in a shop near you – fashion has always been quicker than nature. A sneak peak at what we can look forward to once the temperatures start to drop:

Nature changes its colours and fashion follows suit. Ochre, mustard yellow and deep orange will soon be musts in every wardrobe. And they are especially well combined in the cape by Bottega Veneta. Take note: capes will be a big thing next season. Valentino even had their models strut down the catwalk in dresses with cape-like cuts.
Fringes aren’t just the preserve of cowboys. At Alexander McQueen they were transformed into red, white and blue eye-catchers on leather dresses, coats and bags. Leather is non-optional at Saint Laurent, too, where the models emerged in leather from head to toe.
Cord and fake fur are the season’s on-trend materials. While Miu Miu sent fur-clad models down the catwalk, Prada opted for a mixture of knits, fur and cord. And Brunello Cucinelli created a sexy contrast by combining fur with transparents.
